Financial Information
Conference Fee is US$500 (payable at time of registration). For each delegate, this includes on-site meals, single accommodation, and transportation between Atlanta International Airport and the University of the South, but does not include Saturday, May 21, accommodation in Atlanta if required.
Bursaries/scholarships
A limited number of bursaries to offset travel costs and lodging may be available to active CUAC member institutions in developing countries. Please contact the New York office for more information.
Travel
(Travel expenses not included in conference fee.)
It is recommended that arrivals take place in Atlanta, either Saturday or on Sunday (morning), at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Overnight accommodation at Comfort Inn, Atlanta Airport, can be booked if needed. The cost would be approximately US$90.
Bus transportation (included in the Conference Fee) to Sewanee will leave Atlanta at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, and return transportation to Atlanta airport will leave Sewanee on Thursday morning, May 26.
Arrivals are also possible at either Nashville or Chattanooga (Tenn.) airports, with shuttle service available to Monteagle (close to Sewanee). This would be at the traveler's own expense.
Accommodation
All accommodation is on campus at the University of the South and will generally be in St. Luke's Hall, a newly renovated and very comfortable student residence. It consists largely of rooms with two beds; we will be using those rooms as single rooms. Two such rooms share a common bathroom. If a delegate wishes to share his/her single room (with a spouse or colleague), there is simply the room cost for the night (US$50) included in the conference fee. There are a few accommodations available for single rooms (single or double beds) with private baths, for a slightly higher fee. Some accommodation is also available for mobility-handicapped persons. Please indicate special requests at time of registration. All residence accommodations are non-smoking only.
Visa Requirements
Visas are generally required for visits to the U.S.A. - even as a tourist. It is also useful to know that U.S. law presumes every visitor (visa applicant) may be intending to stay in the U.S. permanently. Therefore applicants for visitor visas have to show that they are visiting for a short stay only. This is done by obtaining a non-immigrant visa at the nearest U.S. consular office abroad. The University of the South and CUAC will send you a "Letter of Invitation" after you register which will help your visa application process.
Citizens of almost all countries, save a few involved in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), must conform to the following expectations for Visitor Visas (B-1 or B-2):
Insurance
Delegates are reminded that when traveling abroad, they should apply for health care insurance for their travels. International conferences, including CUAC, are not able to assume health care and emergency responsibility for their delegates. When delegates book their travel, we advise them to arrange for medical insurance coverage. It can often be obtained through the actual credit card purchases of air fare tickets. It should cover both accident and illness abroad and if possible medical evacuation and body repatriation.

Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion (CUAC)
CUAC is a worldwide association of over 120 institutions of higher education that were founded by and retain ties to the churches of the Anglican Communion. With institutions on five continents, CUAC was founded for the exchange of ideas, for the development of programs among member institutions, and for mutual support so that we might better serve our students, our societies, and the world. As a global network of colleges and universities, CUAC strives to assist both faculty and students to become better global citizens of a diverse world. Membership assumes payment of an annual membership fee based on the size of the institution, or individual membership at US$125 per person. Each institution has a vote at the Triennial Meetings of the association. Membership information can be found on the web site at www.cuac.org or by writing the New York office.
