Mission & History

Ridley Hall is an independent institution which was founded in the late 19th century to provide an evangelical training for Church of England ordinands. In addition to training ordinands from a wide range of dioceses, we are committed to working closely with the diocese of Ely as part of the Cambridge Theological Federation which will serve as the backbone for this area’s RTP.

Degrees and Programs

Numerous graduate and post-graduate degrees.

Requirements
(E.g. TOEFL, SAT etc)

Campus, Housing and Student Services

The college has a large dining room capable of seating 105 people. There are two common rooms for students, a large lecture hall, and two seminar rooms for teaching. Every single student resident lives on the college grounds in their own study/bedroom on one or six staircases. Married students normally share a study with another married student of the same sex.

Spiritual Life

Library and Internet Facility

The college has access to Ridley Library, Federation Libraries, Divinity Faculty Library, University Library, and Tyndale House Library. Our library has 16,000 volumes and the Cambridge Theological Federation has approximately 100,000 volumes. The internet is available to all students.

Tuition and Housing Costs

· £5532 per year tuition

· £3,036 per year maintenance during term time

· £870 per year for visiting scholars

Scholarships

Fees and maintenance are paid by the Church of England for C of E ordinands. In the past there have been limited funds available to help two post-graduates from overseas.

International Students & Exchange Opportunities

In the past we have had bursaries for two overseas students who have already been ordained and are seeking higher degrees to help them return

home as theological educators. These funds have run out at present but we are seeking to rebuild them.
